Suspension of Activities Due to the Impact of COVID-19

 Since 1981, plan-B has grown together with pioneering artists and expressive practitioners from around the world. Due to the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this small space was unfortunately not spared from its effects. At present, there is no clear prospect for recovery. We are also facing further challenges, including a shortage of personnel for production-related work toward reopening, as well as a lack of operating funds.

 Although we have had to stop many times along the way, all of us on the staff continue to work together—slowly but steadily—while dreaming of the day we can resume our activities once again. From the time of our founding, we have aimed to remain a “special place” where essential and authentic forms of expression can exist, and we will continue striving toward that goal. We sincerely ask for your understanding.

Renovation work due to the aging of the building, including repairs for roof leaks, replacement of the air-conditioning system, electrical upgrades, repainting of ceilings and walls, replacement of flooring, and more.
